Professional Development Plan

In the following infographic you can find the Professional Development Plan or our school.


During the last years, our school has been making an effort to renew our ways of dealing with the educational activity. Not only do we count on a platform to work with students but also we have tried to implement the system by adding new tools. For instance, we are using Google apps in order to improve communications and to allow the possibility of working cooperatively.

In addition to this, we have started a project of full digitalization of the school. This year students of the 1st level of Compulsory Secondary Education had replaced their traditional books with laptops and digital books. The plan is to continue with this system so that in three years more the whole level will be working in this way.

The school is also trying to assure that teachers have enough competences as to cope with their work properly so formation is a key element. Normally, in the measure it is possible, we try to arrange courses with teachers of the school or by organizing working groups. Other ways of formation are also available so that the docents can feel comfortable developing their activity.

We hope that in the near future our school will be the reference centre of the area.

Critical Analysis of the Present Situation

In this infographic you can see four spaces in our school As it can be seen, these are the ones of more common use. The main problem is the use of computers, clearly insufficient taking into account the number of groups and the fact that we only count on four computer rooms. The situation is worse in the cases in which students don´t count with their own laptop. It is not always easy to try to work on problem resolution activities when the resource to computers is limited.

Proyecto Digital de Centro

    1.        Introducción   Se trata de un centro de Educación Secundaria, tanto obligatoria como postobligatoria. Cuenta con dos edificios, un poco distanciados en el espacio. Próximo a cumplir 50 años, es uno de los centros de referencia de la zona dado que su tamaño le permite ofrecer muchas especialidades y asignaturas. Cuenta con más de 1000 alumnos y un claustro de unos 108 profesores. Misión Se trata de ofrecer una educación integral y moderna, basada en competencias. Visión Hay un interés claro en trabajar con las últimas tecnologías de tal modo que podamos hacer de nuestros alumnos y alumnas unos ciudadanos y ciudadanas capaces de desenvolverse sin dificultad en la vida moderna.
